Two Britons who had sex on a Dubai beach may face longer in jail
after prosecutors appealed against the sentence.
Michelle Palmer, 36, of Oakham, Rutland, and Vince Acors, 34, of Bromley, London,
were convicted in Dubai this month.
They were sentenced to three months in jail, fined 1,000 dirhams (£155) and given deportation orders.
Hassan Matter, who represents the pair, said prosecutors had appealed,
arguing the sentence was "not enough".
But following the convictions of Palmer and Acors, on 16 October, Faisal Abdelmalek Ahli,
a senior prosecutor, said they should have got six months to a year.
